    @miketasc
    yes, big bucks but very dangerous… health is on the line. short life span I should say. more like paying the insurance for a nice funeral for yourself. reality that is.

    OFFSHORE WELDERS EARN $2,775.00 PER 84 HR. WORK WEEK. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO WELD OFFSHORE, OR GO OFFSHORE AS A WELDER’S HELPER, OR A GALLEY HAND, OR A COOK, OR A ROUSTABOUT, THEN PLEASE SEND ME YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS.

    The average yearly salary for underwater welders can rage anywhere from $90,000 – $200,000 depending on area of work and how dangerous the job is.

    iam going to a techinacal school for that thanks

  10. thewills12 says:

    @ska8r411 Of course your getting your info from a buddy, now someone like me, who is a commercial diver whos been doing it longer than “julst outta collage” can tell you, that yeah you will make between 20-50 a hour but as a DIVER. Usually they are a tender first making 10-15 a hour and that can last a couple years. As far as the 6+ year experience making 150 or more, dont quite work like that amigo. You get paid what your worth and what certifications and experience you bring to the table

  11. ska8r411 says:

    @thewills12 Bullshit. Get your facts straight,my buddy is making $20-$50 depending on what jobs he takes. And thats right out of college that is only 5 months long. After your 6+ years experience you get $150+ a hour.

  12. ska8r411 says:

    @miketasc $20-$50 an hour right out of college

  13. mikeyrajun1 says:

    This type of work makes the marrow in your bones become porous and brittle but as far as the life-span being 5 years I think that’s because of the shit that always goes wrong on a real job underwater (i.e.welding in a swampy ass river and not accounting for the tree that fell into the water 10mi. upstream and that now is tumbling towards you a few feet below the surface.) —But that is a pretty blue water tank to learn in! Have a nice day.

  14. yoyomusic420 says:

    @biglad234 a shit ton

  15. Lightningz1 says:

    So what, do the same chemical principles still apply?

  16. thewills12 says:

    the 5 year life span thing is a myth and so is making the big bucks doing this. In reality if your a commercial diver and you do it for many years then it can take a toll on the body, however welding isnt going to kill you any sooner. Also making the fat cash is a myth. You get paid as a diver and welding underwater is just something you might get asked to do. Wanna make money, go weld on a pipeline abover water

  17. TheNecrologist says:

    @biglad234

    it really all depends on your employer, job type, work load, length of employment, etc. but i’d say at least 70k a year minimum.

  18. biglad234 says:

    Can anyone tell me how much you can earn in this type of work

  19. TheNecrologist says:

    i just finished my underwater welding and underwater burning course in school. was pretty easy. fyi, there is no underwater welding certification. you work for a dive company and if there is welding needed you have to cert for that specific job. and by the way, i go to divers institute of technology in seattle and love it, only 7 month program, check out the website.
