W100PD3 – 100w, 120v Heavy Duty 3-wire Soldering Iron

Should you have one of these models, check the date code (month, year) which appears on the heating element. See if it is between August 2006 and May 2010. If your soldering iron falls within these dates, stop using it immediately.

    Hi, I recently purchased a W100P. I was using it for a week, and then all of a sudden it started turning glowing red hot just yesterday?
    Is this one of the recalls?
    I cannot find a date on the heating element.
